I think each of us is responsible for making these dreams come true. The energy and power of women united can move mountains. The Rwandan women who created peace where there had been slaughter, Mother Theresa and her concerted efforts for the homeless and the smaller more community minded efforts going on in and around each of us are all examples of the goodness in women.

Be empowered by the dream to bring it to reality on Earth.

My oh my if dreams could come true! I have young children and teach second grade, and I try to nurture these dreams in them as well. in school, we try to set up a classroom environment where we celebrate uniqueness, self-empowerment, and individuality. All the while we abide by the “rules” that we wrote as a class, and each child has a “job” to do, which gives them responsibility and builds self-esteem by making a difference in our classroom world. I also work to instill uniqueness, self-empowerment, and work ethic in my children. For although we would love to make Joyce’s dreams come true, and we can work toward the dream, the future truly lies in the hands of our children. I dream that they can make our dreams (which are also their dreams) come true.
