Good Morning,
Ever get scared? We all do… we think scary thoughts and our body responds by flooding us with stress hormones… or fear hormones…
So, what do you do… when your heart is racing and you feel a tightness in your chest… and you are scared or stressed?
Fist of all… breathe… breathe… breathe… then practice some self-power talk… affirm your ability to walk through this… whatever ‘this’ is… keep breathing… keep talking to your self…
…think of what you would say to someone you love that is stressed/scared… say those same things to your self.
Then, reach out to a person in your life who does not judge, does not fix, has a positive energy, will support you and remind you of your strength… there is much healing in allowing someone in and allowing your self to be vulnerable in a healthy way…
Honor your feelings… let them out…share them… often the boogey man in the closet turns out to be an old fur coat once you turn the light on…
Make sure you plant your flag in the intention of re-balancing, finding center again… don’t stay stuck in stress… talk it through… get to the other side of it… get to your power…
Wishing you an easy energy day…
Ohm…

Great advice and powerful words. Thank you!
Thank you, Joyce, you always have a little smile tucked somewhere in your message like a gift waiting to be opened (this time it was the fur coat in the closet)-I really look forward to that

Oh, this is SO true . . . . there are times that I’m stressing over an upcoming event, imagineing every possible scenario just so I’m prepared for anything. . . .it turns out to be a non-event. I worried and stressed and there it was. . . A Fur Coat!!
Love you Joyce! Thank You!!

These are great advice.
Joyce,
Thank you this is EXACTLY what I needed to hear this morning.I am now going to take some deep breaths and re-center. Thank you for your blog and for always seeming to know exactly what I need to hear when I need to hear it.
Have a wonderful day
Thanks for your wise words and a great analogy in the fur coat. And here’s to the ever-reliable power of breath!
Thank you for your words of encouragement. Its a way to find our inner peace by meditation and to cope with our every day life.
Thanks Joyce – there is comfort just in knowing that I’m not the only one who does this!
You are so right about the fur coat … love it. I used to run from my fears but now I conquer them by running at them head on and embracing them …. that way “they” don’t have time to eat me up!
Joyce … I thank you for your wonderful advice, your humor is contagious and I always look forward to hearing from you. We all appreciate you, what your all about, staying positive is where we all need to be. Bravo Joyce!

Loved your comments on stress. This is an area I need the most help with. Sometimes I create stress when there’s nothing to really be stressed about and it all comes from carrying around my self abuse stick. I need to remember it’s okay to have feelings as it’s part of being human. No need to run from my feelings….just need to face them, walk through them and create an aura of peace. Thanks so much for your encouraging and supportive blog.
